Hazrat Khwaja Syed Sha Baba Fakhruddin Hussaini Suhrawardi (RA) was a Qalandar and his nephew Hazrat Khwaja Syed Sha Baba Yusuf Qattal Hussaini Suhrawardi (RA), who was his Khalifa and first Sajjada Nashein of Astan-e-Qutub ul Aqtaab Hazrat Syedna Baba Fakhruddin (RA). Hazrat Baba Yusuf Qattal’s (RA) progeny carried over the custodianship of dargah and spiritual authority after him and the Sajjada Nashein is from his descendants.

Penukonda Chowk is a Sadar Chowk (Chief Presidency) of Southern India.

The span of control of this great chowk is across South Indian states – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Subordinate to Penukonda Chowk are 360 institutions including several Chowks and Chowkandi.

Sajjada Nashien is commonly referred as Sadar Sajjada Nashein.

The face of Sarkar Baba Fakhruddin Hussaini Suhrawardi (RA) on Earth is the Sadar Sajjada Nashein of Penukonda. This office’s command is Sarkar’s command. He is apex authority for all institutions under its control and appoints the offices of Fuqra belonging to Shah Banuwa Jama across South India.

Our Torch bearer of Silsila e Suhrawardia Qalandaria, Hazrat Khwaja Syed Sha Baba Ruknoddin Ahmed Hussaini Al Maroof Hazrat Taj Baba Saheb is the current Sadar Sajjada Nashein officiating the office at Penukonda Chowk several decades.  He is a very dedicated spiritual guide and is working relentlessly since 30 years in propagating the  silsila across the world.

Under his leadership, the institution of Penukonda has many advancements and the followers of the silsila and disciples are spread across several countries including India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, the USA, and  France.
